Balance: Asymmetrical vs Symmetrical

when you have Symetrical balance you have an image split down the middle and there is equal proportions on either side meaning when you take a glance at a picture you look left and right but its obvious where the focal point is but you can still see how its fairly balanced out. Asymetrical on the other hand is when the picture is not even on both sides and you really have a hard time telling which side is the focal point because they don't balance.
